After listening to a lot of advice from people who know a lot more than I do about the subject and doing a fair amount of research, I have decided to put a NF 3.5 – 15 x 50 on the 16” Stealth that has been ordered.

The question is….if you were going to use one of these NF scopes, which one would you get and why?

As always, thanks for all the help!

I think its all going to depend on what you are going to use it for...

I wont be shooting at any bad guys with this one, just targets, maybe a few coyotes and rock chucks.  I might even dress up in my fancy grass and brush outfit and crawl around with it, but I doubt it.

Targets out to maybe the 500 yard range, but it would be nice to have the option at shooting at longer ranges if the opportunity ever presented itself.

Where are you in ID? If you're anywhere near Orofino, I'm pretty sure they have a showroom that you could stop in and see what you like.

I would be looking at a F1 with a MLR2 or H58 reticle personally. The nice thing is you should be able to get it in a combo with a LT104 and save some $. You also might want to check out the new Bushnell they are carrying.

I use the 3.5-15x50 for my 18" OBR heavy, and have shot it past 1k yards.  That is more than enough scope for 500 yards.  By all means, if that's what you want, then go for it––it's definitely a great scope.

If it were me I would do a 2.5-10x to keep it a little lighter for run and gun or hiking around with (as in going out to shoot 'yotes).  With 10x I think you would be good to go for any distance most folks are comfortable with using a 5.56.

Either way, you're going to end up with some quality glass!
