Does it bother anyone that the Court decision was 5-4?  WTF?

Absolutely.  If "you know who" gets to select a Supreme Court Justice or two before he is out of office, you can count on them being liberal picks. God help us then...

It's really too bad torture is not permitted before execution.

Adria Sauceda was killed in 1994 in the gruesome attack in which her head was bashed with a 30- to 40-pound piece of asphalt and she was raped, strangled, bit and then left nude on a dirt road with a piece of wood stuck in her.

From the article:

"The secretary herself is quite disappointed in the outcome in this
case," Clinton's spokeswoman, Victoria Nuland, said Friday. "You know
that the U.S. government sought a stay of Leal's execution in order to
give the Congress time to act on the Consular Notification Compliance
Act, which would have provided Leal the judicial review required by
international law.

So Texas was supposed to delay the delivery of justice in this case stemming from a 1994 RAPE, MURDER, and MUTILATION for congress to pass a law which would require more judicial review at an international level.  This after the @sshole's (I mean suspect's) case went all the way to The Supreme Court.  Furthermore this @sshole had lived in The State of Texas for 29 1/2 of his 31 years of age at the time that he committed the RAPE, MURDER and MUTILATION.  Yet somehow our Federal Government and that of The State of Texas should be concerned about the way that the country where he happened to be born feels about his punishment?

Just trying to understand our good Secretary of State's position on this...

I for one am glad that this @sshole has gone on to meet his maker, and am glad that Rick Perry and the Justice Department in Texas had the spine to get the job done.

When in America, either legally or illegally, you are subject to America's laws.  Just like when you are in Mexico, you are subject to Mexican laws.

To test this, try having a loose bullet found in your car down there.

Anyhow, I was hoping it would happen like it did, but not before being put off a couple more times

1994 ... Rest In Peace Adria ... 'cause Satan's got himself a new guest.

That was the same as the vote in Heller, the case that verified our right to bear arms.  It's kind of spooky to think we are one heart attack away from having no rights at all.

State's rights wins again, but just barely. Barry wins again watch the SCOTUS vote with him on the next case like this.
