Now that orders have been placed and we're all anxious to receive our PredatARs, which optic do you all plan to run?

Since this gun is gonna be so light, I'm tempted to run a T-1 but I'll probably end up running a Trijicon TR24G.

I have an Aimpoint Comp ML3, with LaRue Tactical QD mount, waiting for my PredatAR 5.56.

I will probably put my comp M2 on it for now unitl I can afford something with magnification.  Nikon's 223 line doesn't look too bad.  I will probably end up with something like that and put my aimpoint back on my DD eventually.

I have too many things on my list to go crazy on the optic right now....

I don't have one, but I think they look great with the T1 on them.  That said, if I ordered one (which I won't be, unfortunately), I'd either run a Nightforce 1-4x, or an ACOG.

My decisions work for either.

To start either my ML2/LT150 or a 24X44 target scope to test for accuracy. This would be on a PredatAR 5.56. Down the road a T1 or a low-medium power scope or both.

My 7.62 will be wearing a NF 2.5-10 x 32 with NP-R2 reticle. Done ordered it but it is currently on back order.

I have an 18" 5.56 coming.

It's gonna wear a Burris Euro 30i, 3.5-10, and a Fastfire II.

Not sure, but i'm prepared.  Probably won't be buying one to go w/ my others, not a fan of the name/engraving.  7.62 and an ACOG would be my preference.

the name?  who cares!  it went on a diet, and it came out a well ballanced (at least for my taste) light weight game changer.  762 wrecking carbine in a world that needs it :)

For my 16" 5.56 PredatAR it'll be Trijicon TR21 in an LT-139 &/or Trijicon RX30 (sure would like an LT mount for this...), depending on what I'm doing.

I think my head may explode from looking at all the optic options that would be appropriate for my 16" 7.62 PredatAR thats waiting to be born.

The nicest quality scope I've used is a Leupold VX-3 and I've never dialed a scope before.  Its always been 200 yd zero and you are good to go.

I'll use the gun for hunting pigs at 200-300 yards but I'd love to buy a scope that would let me stretch that out to 500 yards some day as I gain experience, but thats where the head spinning begins.

Someone please take pity on a novice and point me in the right direction.  I have a hard time believing that I'll dial that much once I'm out in brush, but I'd like to have the opton to grow into it.

I can make myself part with the cash for a NF but not without some advice.  I'm waffling between a 2.5-10x32 NF and a Mark 4 3.5-10x40.  Both seem to be lightweight which fit the theme of the PredatAR, but I've read so many posts raving about NF that I've almost talked myself into spending the extra money.

What reticle would you suggest for hunting with the NF? NP-R2, velocity?  Any advice is appreciated. right now I'm drowning in information.

I agree, I'd like to see LaRue make a Reflex mount as well...

Im going to go with Leupold Mark4 M/RT 2.5 x 8.

I'd throw an aimpoint h-1 on there to keep it light.

Up until I ordered a Nightforce scope two days ago, my most-expensive optic was a Leupold Mark 4. I've heard both positive and negative about the Leupold, but nothing negative about Nightforce, if that is any indication of the quality. I will find out in two days when the big brown truck climbs up my driveway.

For 500 yards or less with the PredatAR, and assuming you go with Nightforce, I would be really tempted to try out the velocity reticle myself –– nothing like clearly-marked yardages in 100-yard increments for quick shots. The only thing to consider is that for best results, you'd need to stick with whatever load the reticle is designed for. Changing ammo will throw your yardages off, even if only by a few inches.

Interesting.

Please let us know how that scope works out.  That sounds like exactly what I want (the velocity reticle).

Since I bought an OBR, I opted for the NP-R1 reticle for my Nightforce. If I had went with the PredatAR, it would have been the velocity reticle. That rifle and scope combination would make for a killer hunting rig.

They even have a calculator in which you enter your ammunition choice to match it with the correct reticle.

I wonder how the new Nikon M-223 2.5-10x40 IRT BDC600 (laser rangefinder) scope would work on a PredatAR for hunting?

Well I decided to end up going with (for now) the new Vortex PST 2.5-10x44mm Mil on Mil for my 16" 5.56 PredatAR.

I was going to go with the NF 2.5-10x32mm Mil on Mil but my guy didn't have them in stock and was just getting a small batch of the Vortex PSTs and thought for the price, I'd give it a try.  Now I can use some of that extra cash to work up some loads and buy some extras for the coyote blaster.

Eventually I'll more than likely replace it with a NF but it might be a 1-4x24mm cause I'm thinking about turning this PredatAR into a 200 yards and in/running yote gun and grabbing a 7.62 PredatAR for some longer work which that will probably get the NF 2.5-10x32mm.  Thinking it's about time to retire a few bolt guns!

If anyone is interested in the new Vortex PST 2.5-10x44mm I should be getting mine Wed. and with luck will be able to do a written review with pics and a video review over the weekend.  Figured I'd try to get some info for guys on the scope since for about $599 it won't break the bank and I think it will be perfect for most applications.

I'm going run a Leupold 1.5-5x20 MR/T M2 SPR Illum on mine, but plan on having a 4-16x'ish varmint scope in another mount for woodchucks in the spring.

I plan to put a NF 2.5-10X24 MILDOT Zero Stop with either LT-123 rings or LT-158 base. I have the rings up for sale but if they don't sell by the time I get my 7.62 PDR I'll see if I like them with my RISR and KAC micro BUIS. I also have an Aimpoint Micro (H1) that is waiting for its LaRue offset mount. Now I just have to wait.

I am stuck between The Nikon M-223 1-4x20 & the Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4x20.  They are both $279.95 on SWFA.  I do have 1 question: with the LT-104, in the drop down menue, for the option of 1" rings, is it just spacers in a 30mm ring, or is the mount acctualy 1"?  I don't care for spacers
