I am working in the direction of an integrally suppressed 9mm upper, and need to know if the ID of Larue's carbine length hand guard is 1.6" or greater.

I'd like to give Larue the business if I can. Thanks.

Just looked at my ten inch rail. The ID is about 1 1/4 inch. Not close enough to what you need to get the calipers out. One reason they feel so good in the hand.

might be a reason for LaRue to start selling a kind of modified OBR handguard....

to the OP, I know of only one rail that is that big and it is the Spikes BAR, it is a great rail and is designed to go over suppressors.

+1 for the BAR, I recently picked up a 10". Light, strong and well thought out.

To bad it won't work with our ifle racks.
