There haven't been many pictures or discussions on how folks are setting up their OBR Lites. Sling placement? Rail Placement? VFG?
I have been struggling with where to attach a sling. The size of my meat hooks means that I have to mount the sling all the way forward (not real comfortable in transition), since mounting a rail in the back end of the rail screws with my supporting hand. Has anyone gone full rails on the obr lite, or used an offset optic mount/qd combo off the top rail for the sling? The placement of the QD mount on the lt hand guards is optimal, and I have found that trying to replicate is not easy. |

For the sling, rIght now, I have one rail section mounted on the left side at the rear-most position, with the QD mounted on that at the rear-most slot... this is the closest I have been able to get to replicating the position on an LT rail... I'd like it a little further back, but it's OK... I am going to experiment with a small section of Magpul MOE rail to see if I can get it a little further back.
Other rails are up front on the sides, one empty, one with a Surefire in an off-set mount. On the bottom I have mounted a AFG using a long section of Magpul MOE rail, about 3/4 of the way to the front. |
