How tight is too tight when adjusting the lever?

The reason I ask is that with my LT-150 Aimpoint mount, it was pretty tight out of the box.

With my LT-104 SPR mount, they were both very loose out of the box. It probably has a lot more to do with the spec of the upper receiver rail, but I'm still curious about this. When it contacts the rail at 45*, the LT-104 levers are still pretty easy to close/remove. Tightening the nut a bit more still results in rail contact at 45*, but with more resistance. So how tight is too tight?

Should feel like pushing a thumbtack into dense drywall.

They don't need to be "umph" thight. I can remove our mounts one-handed.
...if you need to struggle, then it's too tight.
