Well, I did it. I finally popped the question and she said yes. The date is set for next summer. As was mentioned here a year or so ago, I thought that some custom dillos for the wedding party would be pretty cool. I've sent the LaRue folks an e-mail a day I think every day this week and have got nothing in reply. I know they are super busy making badass stuff and may not have time to reply to all the emails, so I thought maybe if I started a thread here it may get a little more attention(?).
I am wondering if LT could sell some dillos with custom text? OR sell blank dillos and I have them etched/engraved with whatever I wanted on them? Handing these out to the groomsmen would be pretty cool or for my 6 friends I go pheasant hunting with every year, or my fraternity brothers. LT could still have one side to advertise on and that wouldn't bother me one bit. I just think a dillo with custom text would be great. Any help or comments or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks |

Quoted: I just got hitched and all my groomsmen got a dillo in their gift bag. They love 'em with the normal engraving as well! oh, and congrats! Yep, just include a regular dillo with whatever you're giving them. I've got one that I'd donate to the cause. Congrats on the upcoming nuptials Wormydog. ![]() |

Thanks everybody.
I always said I would never get married but when she bought me a LaRue/TAD hoodie for valentines day and a TAD Fast Pack for my B-Day, well I just knew she was the "one". I've got two unopened bottles of dillo dust I would trade for some black dillos. Of coarse, since its a special cause, the ratio will be a little off. 1 bottle for 3 black dillos? If this doesn't sound fair then let me know. I've got a year to collect some and I only plan on making one more LT purchase before the wedding so I need some help. Not wanting free handouts or redistribution of dillos (not a bho lover here). Thanks again. |

You can buy just dillos themselves:
Dillo page Then you could sand them down, have them anodized again, and then have them laser engraved with y'all's info on one side and the date on the other. I wish I had known about dillos when I got married, I would have done this for the guys in my wedding. Congratulations and best wishes! Oh, and if you do this, pictures of the finished product posted here are a requirement! |

There's a little free space on the hind quarters where you could have your names and the date engraved, just find a shop that does laser engraving. This is what I was going to suggest that you do, shouldn't be all that hard nor that expensive. |

Too bad about the dillos though. People would've paid to attend your wedding!
