What is LaRue tactical input on lapping LT rings? I’m not saying there is any thing wrong with the rings I have for my Remington 700 just wandering if I should lap them or if it will cause any other problems or warranty issues?

Do they need to be lapped? I only consider it if the scope binds and can't slide back and forth freely on the lower haves.

I'm betting that LT machines their rings well enough that they don't need to be lapped, but that is only a guess.  Hopefully someone in the know will come along shortly and let us know.

The only rings I don't lap have inserts like the Burris Signature rings, or are custom rings made to go on a custom action (BOLT action).

Everything else at least gets checked to ensure proper alignment. You'd be appalled to see how far off scope rings can be, even from respected manufacturers

ETA:
Even perfect rings will need to be lapped if they are mounted on a base that is less than perfectly aligned, and/or the action is not perfectly straight. On an AR platform it is easy to get the front ring mounted out on the handguard. I would not trust the alignment between the handguard and upper receiver to be perfect; there's just not enough there to ensure a (close enough to) perfect alignment.

Do not lap our rings.

It is NOT needed.
