I can’t remember if it was posted somewhere here or not, but does anyone know what the sight height is from the center of the bore to the center of the scope tube on an OBR with the OBR mount and S&B scope? Thanks

| Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a dick or make you feel stupid. I did the same thing when I saw the 1.535 on the site. I'm not sure how I would measure it; I figured one of the Larue guys would chime in because they probably have a cad drawing with the height. I just wanted to know the sight height because I found a ballistics application on my phone and one of the questions was for sight height, which I don’t have an answer to. I figured that I would give the application a try to see how close it is when I receive my rifle. |
| Are you talking sight height of the irons at 0 degrees cant to the barrel or the height of the rail above the bore, which varies along the length of the barrel due to the 20 degree cant of the rail? You may have to state some type of position along the rail to get that measurement due to the variance. Might be the objective lens position or maybe the focal plane position of the reticle or possibly at the muzzle. Any ballisticians really know which would provide the proper numbers? I know there is not a lot of difference, but will it change dramatically at extended ranges with the cant figured in? |
