Got it set up yesterday with a NF 2.5-10 and took it to the range.

Without any adjustment, I was 8 in high and 2 in right !  Good sign when stuff comes out of the box and yields a near zero !

One adjustment got me where I want to be, and I shot just under a 1.25 in group at 100yds.  It was 15 deg. and the wind was fierce.
Wind was moving me around, no just the bullet !

The barrel really impressed me; slick as glass.  Cleans up with a couple tight patches.

The mags look good, too.

Here's the pics:

Thanks for the range report, but sadly, you fail.

Can you pull back the charging handle with the CTR cheek riser on there?

Beautiful!

So is that three OBR owners that have come forward?  Seems like they getting into are full swing now, for shipping.

Very cool, but I only give you 7.5-8 out of 10.  No dillo present.  No hat expressing OBR ownership.  No transparent tube showing us the selector (very cool by the way Mr. Fingar).

As if you guys don't always run on all 8.

Is there a way to find out, short of calling and bothering the shop, how far down the line I am?  My order number is 10029.  Curiosity is killing me.

A couple of the guys have recently-acquired Combat Infantry Badges ... of course they can be a little coarse at times.

I kinda got scorched for asking this a few weeks ago, but I'd also like to know where I am in the line. It would really help with the planning. If I get the call January 2nd, that's one (good) thing, but if it's May 1st, I can do a lot between now and then. My order was placed on April 14th. I have the number if that helps.

I'll say this, we're spooled-up and already crankin' ...
...  I'm thinkin' we'll be through the Sept 09s by end of February ... even if it kills us all.

It is Federal 168 SMK.  Still very cold and windy here but I was real proud of that one group I circled.

I zeroed the Aimpont by putting it in front of the NF and adjusting for coincidence, but it did not work well, was off the paper at 100.
Shot way left.

Magpul finally released the 308 pmag today ($20)

Drake says released link

Mark, knowing now that you would only beat Magpul out of the gate by a week, any regrets at having put in the ______ (insert several things there) to go your own way with the mags.

(not a loaded question I'm just curious the answer).

No regrets whatsoever.
Possession of reliable magazines for T&E is a key ingredient in the development of a flawless weapon system.

Now the world has LaRue factory mags, and they compliment the OBR beautifully.

Good answer, and I wish more people understood the importance of the magazine in the function of a gas gun.  You may want to drop magpul a note that the OBR isnt called the OSR anymore since they mention you in their promo material (I'm assuming Drake has had that sheet together for some time).

I'm sure I'll find out whenever I do get the inevitable call, but what are the stock options we're looking at?  I was originally thinking an 18" with a PRS and so far it looks like the 16" has all the performance I'll ever need out of this fine weapon.  Of those shipped, I see a couple CTRs and one A2.  Any other options? Was thinking UBR...

Is that right Rambo? Veritas.....But seriously I agree, 20" need some steam behind them, I am patiently awaiting my call.....

That is JUST what I needed to know! Thanks LT. And thanks for the nice Christmas Dillo, too. I live in Austin and I brag about ya'll all the time to my none EBR loving friends –– and everyone else. Merry Christmas!
