I just came into some birthday money. There are two options...
1. Buy new bolt action rifle, either a Weatherby Vanguard or a Marlin XL7. You know, a good beater rifle with synthetic stock for rainy days. I've always been a gun guy so a new gun is very tempting...I don't need a new rifle, but I love new rifles. 2. Spend what money I have on getting my BCM upper outfitted with LT products. (FF rail, light mount, etc.) What might make this an easier decision is some fellow Houstonian who has the tools necessary for installation so I don't need to spend what money I do have on an action block and various tools. You see, my wife and I just welcomed our first little one into the world two weeks ago, cash is a little tight. The less I have to spend on tools the more I can spend on completing my AR. So there it is: new bolt rifle or LT products? Mark, wanted you to know that you were well represented in hospital. A while back my boss asked me what type of mount he needed for his AR. I told him Larue and he had me order it for him. He gave me the hat. It is now my favorite: http://i35.tinypic.com/34694sm.jpg |

LOL, thanks. Yeah, don't you like being T-3 hours from delivering a baby and being in full makeup with earrings? We got to the hospital at 4:45 a.m. She had to put on makeup and straighten her hair.
I think I'm going with Larue. I have a number of suitable bolt actions... |
A sound AR setup will probably serve me better.
