If it wasn't for the PM before yours that did inform me, I probably would have accepted. I've got plenty of experience in the EE over my years here. Check my feedback. |

You said "8 dillos for a new/like new MBT with both hammer springs". So that's what I agreed to give you.
But again, please shoot me an offer via PM. I look forward to sorting this out. |

seems like the new "fair" deal is to ebay some typically free swag that is collectible to a community that watches out for one another. but yeah bub go make that extra buck...

Sorry Macman37, but you're in the wrong. You offered a deal and he accepted the deal.

Negative.
An ad (in this case, a post stating an intent to trade) is an invitation for offer. Offer(s) are then submitted to the ad's originating party and THEN accepted or declined. Everyone step back and chill. |

$150-$200 dillo!? Still trying to picture the guy that is willing to pay that for one of those. I normally toss the one or two that I get at Christmas to the kids. Who knows where they are, now.

I felt that his offer was genuinely in line with the intent of this thread, which consists of 160+ pages of "in-kind" trade offers for various LaRue swag. He had dillos and wanted a trigger, and I had a trigger and wanted the dillos. If I wanted to pay a premium for some dillos, I would be looking elsewhere - not in the "OFFICIAL LT swag trading thread". Similarly, if his intent was to maximize his gain on some stuff he likely got for free, this is simply not the venue for that. Go sell the dillos on fleabay, pay them their ~13% commission, and then just buy a trigger... hell, you may even get another free dillo out of the deal.
|
|
|
Look, guys... I don't blame a guy one bit for wanting something inexpensively. But since I now know the real value of at least a couple of these dillos I'm only asking a little more for them. If I don't blame people for wanting them at such a good deal you should not have an issue with me wanting a little more for them now that I know more. I posted them here figuring someone would help me understand their value as well as have the chance to buy/trade for them.
Don't anybody pull this "ooooo you're such a dick, they were free throw-ins" ... yeah, they were free throw ins for anyone who bought LaRue gear that have become worth more... and I'm as surprised as anyone they have a much higher value. I really appreciate the good guys who clued me in on that value and who didn't try to poach them. I'm not an unreasonable person. I only have good EE feedback and more thay never was recorded. I've donated things and helped people out with good deals at times on things I've sold so long as they were cool about it. I'm not taking these to ebay- I flipping hate ebay. I'm only looking for a deal that is fair to both of us. Evidently that is too much to ask of some people. I'm not looking for max value but I'm also not looking to get hosed. But thank you again to the good people that let me know what I had. That's good karma and it is most appreciated. If this turns out to be a big fat deal I'll just put them back in the box. |

lol I guess we are all informed now. I'm still shocked. Best of luck to both JohnL and Macman. Hopefully a trade agreement can be reached but if not that's cool too.
Also congrats to JohnL on the new addition in April! Those are the important things. |

Looking to possibly trade barrels if anyone is interested. The two I'm offering up here are new and unfired. I've test fitted both, but never fully assembled or shot either one. Looking for similar condition (new or very low round count).
I have (both unfired): - 14.5" 5.56 Stealth, Standard Ramps Looking for (in order of preference): - 12" 300 BO, M4 Ramps - 14.5" 5.56 Stealth, M4 Ramps |
