I've read that Mark is getting sub-MOA groups out of his 16" OSR, and that it is shooting at 2500 fps using federal 168gr GMM. In trying to choose a barrel length, I'm having trouble knowing exactly what I'm giving up in terms of velocity as compared to the 18" and 20" barrels. And, while I have read data that compares these barrel lengths in bolt guns, I can't find anything comparing velocities in gas guns.
Does anyone have muzzle velocity data on 16", 18", and 20" 308 gas guns? Mark - if you have data on the OSR that would be perfect! Thanks to anyone who can help. |
