So I'm getting ready to purchase a 9in handguard to mount on my carbine. I've also ordered a MI low profile gas block. Question is, how will I mount it all together? Can I mount the keeper, ring, etc and then put on the gas block and gas tube, then slide the rail itself over the assembly to finish the install? |

I think the 9" will cover the gas block on a carbine length gas system. I could be wrong though.
but as for the install you will install the gas block and system first then install the rail, because if you install the rail first how would you install the gas block and tighten the set screws? |
