I just received my Stealth stripped upper receiver.  I tried on my Essential, Stag, Colt, Rock River lowers.  I then tried my Noveske lowers and it would not fit on all 3 of my Noveskes.  They all had the same problem, they would fit into the lower where the rear take down pin passes through.   Anyone else have this problem?  Are the Noveske lowers milled to different specs at that location of the receiver?

I've heard of this happening on one occasional Noveske lower, but not three. Do you have pics?

Mine wouldn't slide down into my KD lower...fixed that lower with a sand drum on a dremell.

Fixed it permanently with an LT lower.

Wow, really? I'm in the process of SBRing my Noveske lower and was going to get a 12" LaRue Stealth for it...I hadn't heard that they won't fit...

my Noveske lower/Larue stealth is a very nice tight fit. Its not too much but it requires me to push down slightly when sliding the rear pin through. There is 0 wabble at all.

FWIW my Noveske has a 2 digit serial #

My Stealth upper fits my Stealth lower like a glove!

I've got a Tactical Innovations lower (the forged one). My Stealth upper is pretty tight around the rear lug, but it closes. Just open & shut her a few times and she'll wear in.

Ask LT if you can send both parts in.  Or order an LT lower, then "adjust" your forged lowers for the time being.

Did you not read the Noveske tacked thread before ordering?

I have both the forged and billet version and my new Stealth will not fit.  Front lug pins in fine but the rear is a no go.  The upper pins in fine on my LMT Defender lower but there is a slight wobble...what gives???

Yep same thing here.  I had to lube up the rear lug and press it in a couple times.  Never wore off anything on the upper, but the lower has a bit of shine to it.  No wobble at all.  On my Anvil Arms lower the upper fit right in with a bit of wobble.

Mark can you elaborate please on the difference in fitment on various lowers please....thx

There is a variance in Mil Spec, but they should still fit together.  It's possible you got very unlucky and received 3 out of whack lowers.  Have you tried fitting different uppers to those lowers?

Yeah I fitted them to a lot of lowers.  Tac Innov. , LMT, RRA, and MEGA.  Its just for some reason the fit varies between lowers.

I have fitted my various uppers to the Noveske lowers and they all fit just fine.  Its just the Larue Stealth upper that does not fit my noveske lowers.  Im not trying to knock the Larue upper, I just was wondering if anyone else ran into these problems. Like I said before, the Larue fit on my Stag, Essential, Rock River and Colt lowers.  My 3 Noveskes are the ones that are not able to close.  The rear lug area is the part that is not fitting into the lower.
Anyone in the market for Noveske lowers?  hahaha  I'm keeping the Larue upper.

Aloha

anyone get a little wiggle when they pin it in???  If so how do you remedy the problem??

Uh, isn't putting a LaRue upper on a Noveske lower kind of like dividing by 0? If you force it it will probably end up making a black hole or tearing a hole in space time or something like that...

... Then again I have a Noveske 18.5SPR on my rifle that is decked out with LT goodies and I haven't been sucked in yet. I just wish LaRue would sell their barrels separately so people like me that just have to put their rifle together from scratch could get a one o dem barrels I hear they are a lot better than the Noveske ones

I've never had an issue putting a Stealth upper on any of our lowers.

My Noveske lower is really tight with several different uppers, including a Noveske.  It fits, but I had to grease the takedown pin and I use a Delrin punch to get the pin out.  As I shoot it, it seems to get looser each time.

I have two LaRue uppers, one SSS and one I put together myself.  The LaRue uppers fit my Stags, POF, Kaiser Defense, LMT and Colt lowers with no problem.  I have not tried my LaRue uppers on the Novekse lower though.

The Noveske gun belongs to the wife, she doesn't like to turn loose of it.

How is the fit on your LMT??? I have a slight wobble w/ mine....

I received a Stealth upper this week, and it too does not fit into my Noveske lower. I tried to ease it in as suggested, and doing so just took the phosphate off of the top edge of the upper.

I'd rather modify the lower. With a billet upper from a competent machine shop (LaRue is) will be correct. There are a lot more variables with forged ones.

My stage raper consist of a Larue Stealth upper and a Noveske lower...... fit's great.  I know Noveske switched lower manufacturers before..... maybe they've made some more changes?  FWIW I also had CMMG and DPMS lowers that fit the Stealth upper too.  Good luck.

Just a little bit of play with the LMT, nothing that I would be concerned about.  I put an accu-wedge in and it was gone.  It's now mated to my POF (the one I built up with a LaRue upper is on a KD).  No wobble with either of those.
