I just bought another excellent Larue product and had a noob question.

In the interest of mounting my X300 as far forward on the rail as possible, I decided to turn the mount around, and have most of it over hang the rail, and put it where it is most suitably placed to operate.

The lever still makes full contact with the rail, but wanted to check if this is a wise decision.

Pics to help my lack of descriptive skills. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The only issue is the small radius cut-out to accommodate a 3/8" wrench for the lock nut. (you can see it in your second photo)

Since fine-tuning a mount for weapon lights isn't as important as an optic or a laser, you'll be fine.  (I ran that mount that way for a while myself)

Thanks for the help Mark.
