I just noticed this new mount on the larue website.

Im really confused about some of the design choices made on it though.  I just moved my 3x back to approximately where the LT670-EO puts it.  It was very uncomfortable as the length of my stock puts me in a good NTCH position but this mount would place the rear of the 3x far behind the charging handle.

I understand that since a one piece ring is used it would be impossible to get around the bell of the magnifer to the normal mounting place, but since you are using a spacer anyway why not make a spacer that fits in the normal mounting place?  It would place the magnifier in a much better position.

Failing that would it be possible to flip the ring around? I see that it is bolted to the base

Lastly how is this supposed to interface with 553's or 552's on LT110 risers?

I was really looking forward to a larue fts mount for my eotech 3x magnifier  but i am having a hard time with the lt670

I think you're right about the spacer idea. A nice fat plastic spacer would allow you to move the sight forward in the new mount.

With regards to the LT-110, this is clearly not intended to be used with the riser. There's no way to use the LT-110 on a standard flat top and have a flip to side magnifier mount, and a BUIS. You either bridge the gap with the LT-110 and then use an LT-649, or you dump your BUIS.

I think the holy grail would be a LT-110 with an integral flip to side mount

** HINT HINT MR. LARUE **

. I bought a Po'Boy combo with hopes that I could somehow squeeze it behind the the LT-110, but I couldn't do it without getting rid of the BUIS or bridging the gap on my DD Lite Rail. Even when I did bridge the gap, the rifle just felt too front heavy. Now the Po'Boy sits all by itself in the safe.

With that said... you can run a magnifier behind an Eotech on a LT-110 using the LT-602 (low), but you don't get the flip to side capability.

That would be fantastic

I had been holding out for an eotech magnifier mount from larue (fixed or flip) but it looks like im just going to have to sell my eotech mag and get an aimpoint one.

This is one of my setups.  I like it since I normally do not remove the 3xmag.  It does not flip to side just has the QD lever.
