Got her put together tonight!
(for details go Here)

3 Margaritas and while watching some TV all put together.  Fit and finish are second to none!  The Geis. trigger is absolutely amazing, and the RRA parts kit fit flawlessly.  Thanks Larue for another great product.

And speaking of guns... LOL

Think I am going to throw the Phantom Flashhider on it as well.  I can't get the damn magpul rail covers to go on.  Have to wait for my husband to help me,  must not have enough hand strength to push them on.  I tried to put a lil oil on, but then ended up with oily fingers and then couldn't push on the rails.  LOL

Not real impressed with the VLTOR stock...  feels cheap and functions like crap.   We'll see if it breaks in a bit.

The trigger feels amazing.  Can't wait to get the scope on there.   Should have a few more pics up later this evening after we get back from dinner.

Nice setup!

Just curious, why do you have your Troy rear Iron and your scope so far forward?
Are you going to shoot nose-to-charging-handle?

I shoot pretty close to that.  Not really by choice, but by the fact I am a woman and have shorter arms than most guys.  this requires me to have the stock collapsed to the first or second position.  Thus moving my head forward, real cose to nose to the charging handle.

Hunny, I'm 6'3" wear shirts with 37" sleeves and I shoot nose to the charging handle like Uncle Sugar taught me to. But I still run my Troy all the way back where it should be.

Quit messing with someone else's build.

ETA:  Oh and about the scope, there is something called eye relief you know.  Leupolds give almost 4 inches so my scope is far forward too.

Yeah, but your stomach gets in the way which is why you have to have it so far back.  Those 37 inch arms probably provide plenty of cushion and stabilization, but I bet the bat wings catch the wind, so the closer the site is the more stable for ya.

Quit messing with someone else's build.

nice rig!
I felt the same way about my EMods. I wouldn't trade them for anything except a couple more LMT SOPMODs perhaps. The Vltor actually makes a bit more sense than the LMT though. Don't need to remove to get the storage tubes out and the rear flip open storage is fairly decent....

My point exactly.  Don't listen to fatty, put that scope as far forward as you need.  I say, whatever works for you is what you should do.  I hate people who come in and criticize other people's builds.  That build is awesome and should  be left alone.

And I hate people who don't know what they're talking about. I was talking about her IRON sights. The closer an aperture sight is to your eye the larger your field of view will be and the more light you will get for that size aperture.

[#24]
What are you like blind or something??  How much further back can she get the rear iron site????  I don't see any pict rail left??  So once again, shut your mouth and leave someone elses equipment alone.

Oh and your statement about more light is full of crap too.  Distance to your eye has nothing to do with light.  Field of view yes but the size of the aperture affects the amount of light.  This all goes back to anyone who has to throw out how big their arms are in a conversation that has nothing to do with that, is full of themselves and doesn't know crap.  Furthermore, your statements only further demonstrate how little you know.  Once again, leave peoples builds alone.

Actually she could move it back a notch or three. While I personally don't care what she does with HER rifle all your personal attacks aren't helping you make a point.

Thanks guys for all your input and concern.   The Sight only has one more notch in the rail it could go back.  For the way I hold the rifle and the way I aim, it works out perfectly for me!   I am not worried about field of view as I shoot irons with both eyes open unless it's a long shot and then I am not so much worried about field of view (as I will be looking through the scope).

I have a burris fast fire mounted on there as well (if you didn't notice).  Plenty of field of view with that thing.

Where I have my rear sight placed and with my eyes,  when I shoot both eyes open I see a fuzzy hoop, and a clear front sight post.  I put the hoop around the post, and then the post on the target and, then bang, bang.   Holes where I want holes.

Again thanks for all your words of wisdom.

Especially you Transporter

What is up with the brown nosing of the lady here?

Nice build though regardless of where you have your rear sight.

I am not brown nosing anyone. I am just making fun of any guy who feels they have to come in and show the "little poor lady" out.  That is obvious by someone coming in, I have 37" biceps.  I am big and strong.  Let me show you how, etc and more crap like that when that had nothing to do with the topic.  She said she had shorter arms, so he could have been like, I have short arms too, not I am so big and strong(which is the only way you interpret I have 37" arms, because that has absolutely NO relation to what was being discussed), which to me, is just I think I am big and strong or I am just fat.

Its obvious she knows what she is doing and her husband knows what he is doing.  If you all haven't noticed, camo_hunny usually has good posts that add to the topic.  She isn't a dummy and I am not brown nosing her or her build.  Too many people think they are the worlds expert when it comes to guns, especially, the AR platform.  Why can't people just build what they want and not receive critical comment?

No where did she ask, hey guys, do you think my rear site is too far forward?  Nope, she said, take a look at my new rifle.  All I was trying to say, was leave peoples builds alone and quit trying to impress people with facts that are irrelevant to the topic.  Maybe a bit personal on my part, but my point was made.

You really are STUPID aren't you? I was saying I have long arms. I wear shirts with 37" LONG sleeves as in 17x37, not how big my biceps are. But since your MOMMA buys all your clothes you wouldn't know how men’s shirts are sized.

Camo-Hunny I’m sorry, but if attacked I’ll respond. I was saying you don’t need short arms to shoot nose to charging handle.
