Is there such a person employed with you and if so why are they emailing me for credit card information instead of your company name?eta the card I used is a gift card issued by the company I work for so the address on my order is correct. Thanks. (I edited BJ's full name off the title, as I saw you also don't like to use yours |
I am afraid I have to mutter the words ... ... "That's not my job". ![]() There's a bunch of us, and somebody else handles that aspect of finance. I hope you can hold on until Monday ... we got that Texas 3-Gun thing going on this weekend in Waco and a lot of the folks are helping with that. Though I wouldn't be surprised to find out it's done already and your bank is slow to show it. ML |
so your hard earned money or a gift card??? ![]() |
Now I'm lost. Did we or did we not screw up ML |
Ouch, I don't think he said you said that. ![]() Though you did mention something about reading skills ... No fooling, sorry about the confusion and thanks for all the smarta$$ remarks and namecalling. I don't know what the big rush is all about to credit back this unusual-to-us "gift card", but be assured, we'll get you taken care of. ![]() ML |
Thats what you're insinuating above. and it was a gift card, so like already stated, whats the hurry....? it will get done, just calm the fuck down! you have problems with Larue, then take it to them. cause not sure if you have seen, but the larue industry thread is full of nothing but praises. there are some mistakes that have happened, as they will always happen. but larue stepped up to the plate, admitted where they went wrong, and took care of it. so you come into this thread talking shit, you better believe that you will be targeted by firm beleivers. i use larue ever day, and live by it! it is all on my duty rifle. and they have taken complete care of me EVERY time. as well as hundreds of other members here. so you come in here bitching about a refund on a gift card, and that it wasn't taken care of at the exact minute you wanted it to be? we all know larue, and what they do. you will not be jipped or robbed. so just be patient and take your frustrations of life out somewhere else. don't blame larue cause he keeps business hours that don't match up with the job that sounds like you hate anyways. |
The screw up here is from this guy's company. They purchased these Visa "gift cards" and took the simple way out by just registering them to the company, so they could randomly give them out as awards or perks to Joe Employee or Joe Customer. The problem with this shit is that when the person tries to use them to purchase something online they automatically get flagged for manual address/CC verification. This is because every online CC authorization program cross references the "card registered address" and "order shipping address" as a fraud/theft prevention measure and in the case of these "gift cards," the addresses dont match. Sounds like this guy just didn't understand the quirks and didn't have the patience to get it worked out in an understandable way. <ramble> BTW, as was mentioned above, whoever gives you one of these Credit Card type Gift Cards can track every purchase you make. I won a $100 Visa gift card one time from a business during one of their promotions. When I spent it at a competitor because the donor didn't have what I needed, they were PISSED. They even had the nerve to call me and ask me why I would take advantage of their goodwill like that.... bastards. </ramble> |
Ahhh, mystery solved. Senorita BJ says that her research shows that the card issuer "reserved" that amount on that gift card, and therefore it showed a "pending transaction". But alas, since nothing was transacted, then it dropped that "pending" part off in about a day. Fun and games. Have a good'er'n. ML |
OP, it sounds like your company fucked up, you got impatient, and somehow you couldn't find time from 0700-1800 to make a 5 minute phone call? LT didn't deny you anything. i must live in a parallel universe... the one time my CC company flagged a transaction, i already had the CCO/LT mount in my hand when i got the call from the good people of Larue. I've also had them *GASP* cross ship items... ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASSIONS! I have $600 of socialist wealth redistribution that is also destined for texas... once i get back from Norfolk. ![]() |
I might have similar plans. But am getting to the point that I wish Mark would consider alternate colors for anodizing his products. If he can make a Christmas Dillo red that he can make a FDE rail. But in truth its not about if you can make it, but more about if it will sell enough to justify the hassle. |
i like rails and mounts in black. i would however enjoy a FDE FUG to match my magpul CTR, MIAD, and rail ladders. come on mark, i know you want to...
|
paint it ![]() seriously tho, those "bake on" or epoxy style paints bond quite well to plastics. Baking an FUG probably wouldn't hurt it, it takes polymer at least several hundred degrees to melt (like 300 degrees Celcius, but i wouldn't put it past 200). The paint will need to scratch into the plastic in order to come off ETA If you just paint it cold, as long as its degreased and all, the paint will bond fine to it. It will just take a lot longer (5 days versus 20 minutes) |
Any body that orders something gets a Email from BJ with the full name added
I bet more people get that Email than come here, so way take off something that you send to EVERY body that buys something not trying to start any thing just seem silly to send out someone's name with EVERY Email then to Edit it out of a post in a LARUE forum, if your hiding his true name why send it out with the Email ? |
Your key phrase is "everybody that buys something" ... only those folks and not the whole damn world. ![]() |
