Please help.  I purchased a used Larue about 6 months ago from the EE from a guy that has + about 300.  Mount looks authentic and in great shape - LNIB as described.  I have a Leupold MK4 in it on a AR10 carbine.  Generally it holds zero with no issues.  The last 2 times to the range the screws backed out - with locktite.  This last time I cleaned and locktited the screws and internal threads.

Please let me know what else I can do and or warranty options as I don't know the age and am 2nd owner.

TIA,

Chuck

Try degreasing the screws themselves and also the insides  of the tapped holes.  Any lubricants at all on the thread areas acts like a "releasing" agent.

Try that and let me know.  Also, do you have the instructions with that used unit ?  If not, go to our website ... they are posted in there somewhere.

Update:  I soaked the mount in CLP and then took a brass brush to the screws and a brass bore brush to the mounting holes.  That completed I used locktite and 30 rnds later it's still tight and I am a happy camper again.

I have heard of the customer service but advice from "the MAN" himself says a lot.  You've earned another lifetime customer.  Keep it up.
