Are the V2 models being eliminated in favor of NiB BCG's posted today?  One has a billet vs investment cast gas key. Any other differences that I overlooked?

There is a banner for the new NiB BCG's on the AIM homepage. Look similar, price is even cheaper, but cast vs billet gas key.

we will have both

$99 round cut, no logo, 30 day warranty, investment cast key, investment cast extractor, NiB extractor

$129 angle cut, logo, lifetime warranty, billet key and billet melonite extractor

Billet is better, usually. But cast done right is perfectly fine. MIM done right is fine.

The problem with any method comes in the execution. Recent craptastic panic parts in the industry have included MIM small parts, improperly heat treated 9310 bolts, billet uppers and lowers machined to incorrect dimensions, and poorly cast gas keys.

The good thing about AIM is that they understand the products they sell, and stand behind those products. While other companies play Duck and Cover, AIM leads.

Good to know.  I'm going to email Bryan to cancel my order.  I want the lifetime warranty if I'm putting these away for later builds...

Look like I waited too long.

How many did you sell this afternoon?

In my haste I didnt look into the difference. Would much rather have the lifetime warranty but for 100 bucks I figure it will do for now. I am storing parts for a budget build so this should work fine for that.

When I looked earlier, they had 771 in stock. So they definitely had atleast 800.

Just had to do the same. I was so excited thinking I was getting the same deal like the other 6 I ordered. The warranty is what I was sold on.

Any chance of getting a couple NiB bolts? I bought two XAIM16LWT in Feb 2013 that came with NiB carriers but phosphate bolts, like shown here:

Any idea when these might be back in stock? As fast as things are selling you'd think we were in a panic again.
