Those of you that are using long range NV Scopes or Clip Ons are really going to like this improvement for the TNVC Torch Pro IR Illuminator, an adapter that allows you to screw on a USGI 3X Magnifier to REALLY reach out and light your target up.

This simple adapter screws over the adjustable focusable objective aspheric lens of the Torch Pro, allowing you to then screw your 3X Magnifier securely onto the end for precise IR targeting beam that will easily distance a kilometer.

I have not taken any NV photos of this wicked setup at night yet, but soon will. In the meantime, here is the simple way to make a major improvement to your Torch Pro IR Illuminator:

Finally went out into the cattle pasture to get some NV photos of the TorchPro IR Illuminator with the 3X Magnifier attached compared to the LDI SPIR. The large live oak tree is approximately 300 yards out from the PVS-14 MonoCam. As you can see, the SPIR is super powerful and the TorchPro with the 3X is more concentrated. Both the SPIR and the Torch Pro were dialed down to their most concentrated mode to focus them as tight as possible.

Now that I got the adapter for the Torch Pro from TNVC, I tried using my 720nm IR cutoff lens to reduce the red glow from the 850nm IR LED emitter, it still glow red fairly well with the 720nm IR filter though.

So, I ordered a 760nm IR filter to see if that takes care of the red glow without affecting the superb IR beam from the Torch Pro, will try it out later on this week when I get it.

I also ordered an 850nm IR cutoff filter too but it may reduce the IR beam too much, will see.....

The 850nm IR cutoff filter works very well, eliminating about 90% of the visible red emission from the LED, the 760nm IR cutoff filter only mutes the red about 5%.

The 30mm filter fits perfectly into the USGI 3X Magnifier that TNVC engineered for their TorchPro IR LED Illuminator, nice fit and lockup.

Here is the TorchPro IR LED during the day with no filter, as you can see it is bright red directly looking into the emitter:

Here is the TorchPro IR LED during the day with the 850nm IR 30mm cutoff filter installed looking directly into the emitter, as you can see it is greatly muted out.

I will scope it out tonight after dark and see if the IR has been affected any by the 850nm filter installation.
