| I spoke with someone about this on the phone the other day. It may have been the OP. I did get an answer on why they are there however. When the rails get hard coated, it is helpful to have certain parts labeled so that it is clear what they belong to. (ie sometimes scope rings look like Star clamps etc.) The designation 3M is simply a random alpha-numerical marking to assist with ID. Thanks for the question though! |
