why do the mounts not work with 5.56 variant AKs? I have an SLR-106 which uses a 7.62x39 rear right. I would like to know as I want to buy your product ASAP!!! I have emailed on this and called but got no answer. I've waited months.

The trunion on the 5.56 is cut different by the rear sight. It will not allow then part to be secured properly .
