I am building a CMMG dedicated 22LR upper. I have install the 16"WASP bbl to the receiver and installed my SS bolt with SS collar. The bolt collar will not slide on the end of my bbl all the way. I thought the collar had a detent on it that retained it on the end of the bbl? the whole bolt will not go all the way forward neither will the collar stay on the chamber when retracting the bolt. Could the detent on the collar be stuck?

If the barrel has a groove around the chamber area of the barrel, the collar should slide on and lock into place.
You need to post some pictures so we see what's up. You may have to call CMMG in the end but pictures will help
diagnose the issue.
