Put the weaker BHOA bolt catch spring in the lower I normally use with my CMMG .22LR upper and it works great. My question is am I likely to have any problems when I use this lower with my other 5.56/.223 uppers as a result of the weaker bolt catch spring?

We clipped a few coils off one of our Multi use lowers and it still functions fine with a 5.56 upper. So in theory you should get the same results..

Should be fine since the BHOA is what needs to match the lighter spring.
As long as it's not cut too terribly short should be GTG.

I've not seen any examples of the 22 bolt catch spring causing issues in 5.56 guns.
