I was cleaning the piston today and noticed one of the "rings" on the piston plug had fallen off.
What are these made of, can they be replaced, and do I need to replace it before shooting again?

Contact CMMG. I believe it is a copper seal.

Guys at CMMG are awesome. Exchanged my old piston regulator for the new design.

The new ones seem to work much better than the old ones. I had a ring come off my old one and scored the piston tube. Caused the piston to drag.

Yikes... I lost one entirely and the other was barely hanging on. But I don't see any sign it ever went past the end of the regulator.
