So I found this on gunbroker.com. I didn't see anything here, or on your web page though. Any info?

I think CMMG quite making the dedicated uppers last year. The M4 store still advertises that they have some in stock and they're asking $465 for them.

Will those of us who already own a CMMG conversion kit be able to buy a barrelled upper without the .22 bolt?

I am getting ready to put together an upper which will be specifically for using with my CMMG kit.  The problem is, I want to run it suppressed and I'm hesitant to use a 1/9 or 1/7 barrel with a can for fear of baffle strikes.  I was also considering ordering a Spike's dedicated upper, but that means buying their kit, and quite honestly, I'd prefer to be able to keep and use my CMMG kit.  If I'll be able to get a dedicated, 1/16 upper from CMMG and be able to use the kit I already own, I'll hold off on building my dedicated .22 rifle for a couple of months.

You can't use a Spikes kit on Spikes upper.  You need their 22 bolt without the chamber adapter.  The both kits are for 5.56/223 chambers.  Unless CMMG is going to use a 5.56/223 chamber on their 22 upper they kit should not work on their upper either.  Unless I'm missing something.  On the Spikes side of things you could get a 22bolt and a chamber adapter and be able to use the bolt on the 22 and the bolt with adapter on the 556/223.

So far as Spikes conversion, all you need is a barrel collar available from Spikes. It replaces the chamber adapter for dedicated uppers. I would imagine CMMG will be the same. No need to replace the bolt or any other part.

Well, I guess I'll just use the 1/9 barreled upper I just bought off the EE for the time being, and when CMMG releases the next batch of dedicated uppers, I'll buy one and sell my conversion kit on the EE.  I can always use the 1/9 upper for another project once I get the dedicated .22 upper.  (You can never have too many AR's, right?)
