Question for you guys who are running a CMMG lower setup.  Does your lower drop free Pmags?  Mine doesn't and I was wondering what the consensus is with everyone elses.

Thanks.

It is likely not the lower that is the problem.  It is likely to be the PMAG causing the problem.  I have numerous lowers from different manufacturers, to include CMMG.  PMAGs do not drop free form over half of them while all of my USGI mags drop free.  I think MAGPUL has a solution of sanding the rear of the PMAG or something like that posted somehwere in their industry section.

Just sand down the tabs in the back/lower magwell region of the PMags.

About 80% of my PMags drop free, the others required a few seconds with sandpaper, and now they're all good, ,but still very reassuringly snug in battery.

Reason I ask is because my Pmags drop free with ease in my Bushmaster.  I also noticed that the 5 position stock was stiff as hell.  You had to literally use both hands to move it out of the shortest setting.  It's getting a bit easier now and I've also added some CLP but it's no where near as smooth as my Bushy.

I guess I'm not really worried about it but that's two things I didnt anticipate having an issue with.  The finish is top notch and I am looking forward to slapping on a CMMG upper soon.

Thanks.

Pmags drop free no problem in my CMMG lower... and they seem to fit better in the magwell that my USGI mags...

My CMMG lower drops PMAG's fine for the most part.  I have one 20rd PMAG that's a little tight and doesn't drop free.  All of my 30-rounders drop free.
