Buying a upper with a WASP barrel. What is WASP? It looks like CMMG no longer offers this barrel. Should I avoid it or is it GTG?

Right now, WASP rifles are run exclusively through the distributor RSR Group.  They are in full production and are gaining ground chrome lined builds.

WASP is Weapon Armored Surface Protection.  In generic terms, it is black chrome but better.

Right now it is only 16" M4 for the piston and standard carbines.
