I waited 6 weeks for the upper and glad I did as it is real nice. lower is an old Rock River I had and it has a Hahn bottom load block that I got from Brownells. CMMG has a new lady that answered the phone and she is pretty helpful Her name is Linda. The wait on 9mm was said to be trouble getting bolts Mike |

I'm glad to hear that you like it. I was a little concerned when talking to Garson at CMMG (back around Feb. or March) because they were having a problem with the bolts, along with the delays in shipments, that they were getting. I forgot what percentage that they were finding weren't meeting specs, but it was more than you'd think. It was causing a delay in them getting the guns out and it made me a little paranoid about the bolt in particular. They said that they would notify the shop that I was going to buy it through when they came in but we never heard from them because that was right when everything went crazy (demand for all AR's). I ended up ordering an RRA middie, with the integral magwell, but the wait is even longer now. As I had stated before though, I still consider getting a CMMG upper. I like the uniqueness of their m4 configuration. I have one of their stripped 5.56 lowers and debating on an upper for that too. Thanks. |
