I have a CMMG upper I purchased about 4 years ago and I recently mounted a ARMS #40 A2 BUIS on the flat top. I took it out to sight in but was shooting high.

Is the CMMG FSB from 4 years ago non Mil-spec? I know my Bushmasters required the .040 taller front sight post to work with the ARMS #40 A2. Is CMMG's FSB the same way???

On that old of a build, it probably was a rifle height front sight.  The taller sight post would help you out on that.
