This is not a complaint by any means. These days I hardly have brand loyalty, be it tools or rifles, how things are made these days it seems everyone tries to cut every corner they can get away with, I feel BCM doesn't do this. However I feel like I have a one in a million problem with a BCM BCG.
Using some deployment money I built a new BCM rifle, the KMR came out while I was stationed overseas but I wanted it anyways. When I came stateside on leave they didn't have a complete upper in stock so I ordered all the pieces and put a 100% BCM upper together and dropped it on a BCM lower I already had. I shot 2k rounds through it suppressed with it running 100%. After another 9 months in Afghanistan I got stationed back in the states and was back to shooting it. Soon after I took it coyote hunting (at the time I couldn't suppressed) I was suprised when it didn't cycle without a can. I tried all types of ammo, I put the BCG in 3 other rifles and the same issued happened even in a SBR pistol gas system that should get plenty of gas. I dropped another BCM BCG in my new build and it worked 100% suppressed and unsuppressed. I broke the gas system down and double checked everything, even swallowed my pride and took it into a gunsmith to make sure I wasn't overlooking something. Still that bolt failed to extract or eject or feed, it seemed a different problem every round but it always malfunctioned. All of the malfunctions seemed gas related but it was only that BCG. I emailed BCM early December which im Sure was a busy time for them and never heard anything back from them. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Again I am not complaining about this I have 3 other BCM rifles and know countless people that stand by them. I currently use this rifle as a coyote gun and continue to be impressed by it accuracy and function (with a different BCG) even in the negative temeratures of Montana coyote Hunting. |

As a guess without inspecting it sounds like a BCG issue. Will check on this. Do you have your order number so I look up your contact info? |
