I've got a new Jack that I spent some time over Thanksgiving shooting and I've had some issues with it. Out of 500 rounds I've had close to 50 light primer strikes. I've even had several instances where the sear wouldn't reset until I ejected the magazine, no matter how many times I chambered/ejected/re chambered/safety on/safetyoff. I'm no gunsmith but I was a Gunners Mate so I do know what I'm looking at and everything is built correctly. I'm kinda at a loss here. Also, the 500 rounds weren't consecutive, I did take it down and clean it throughout the misfires. Disappointing for a $2200 gun out of the box. But I know things happen and regardless, I stand by BCM quality. It's always been top notch.

were you using reloads or factory ammo ? same lot ?
did you check the firing pin and compare to another one ?
Does the Jack have an aftermarket trigger ?

just few things to try. good luck. BCM has top notch CS

I have a BCM Jack clone that I put together(same as OEM except for barrel length) and I have had no trouble with the ACT in mine. You might switch out the ACT with another trigger to eliminate it as a possible problem.

I've had 3 different ALG ACT triggers and never had any issues. As noted though, things happen -- could be an issue with the trigger/trigger spring. Check in with Geissele too.

Sorry to hear Guns.  FWIW I have 2 ACT and 1 QMS trigger groups in three different guns.  Never an issue but I do not get to shoot a lot lately.
Curious to see what the issue is.

From what you are saying, personally, I would pull the FCG and make sure nothing was stuck inside or funky. I would also look and make sure the hammer spring and disco spring are clear and installed correctly and without interference.  BCM has good parts and good people doing their builds, but freak things happen once in awhile.  If the above doesn't show issues, it sounds like it is time for a return trip to BCM.

Just my personal thoughts.

So I decided to strip everything that wasn't roll pinned down and when I started working on the FCG I noticed something funny. The hammer spring legs were under the trigger pin. Pulled it all out and re-installed/re-greased it. Shot 4 mags of xm193 without a hiccup. Shit happens I guess. So in my not-so-professional opinion, the hammer wasn't getting the full power of the spring causing the light primer strikes. No harm, no foul and it didn't cost me any time or money. I still stand by BCM quality and as a matter of fact, I'm picking up that Foliage Recce today since it's a smoking deal . I really appreciate all of the suggestions and responses.

I did that once.   Helped my daughters friend put his first AR together and got the springs on the wrong side of the pin.  His trigger pin kept trying to escape.  Stuff happens, BCM is still awesome.
Glad you got your carbine squared away.
