The KMR Alpha will be available in 15, 13, 10, 9, and 7? lengths. Each length weighs only slightly more than the magnesium alloy version of the KMR yet they cost significantly less. The prospect of more easily available and lower cost KMRs is exciting. I suspect that BCM will have a hit on their hands with the introduction of this new version of the KMR.

So will these be slightly heavier but also stronger?

I believe they stated 2 Oz difference
I would imagine the Mg alloy blend is stronger as well as lighter.
What you get with Al alloy is
-lower cost
-greater availability
-more robust outer color coating (hard coat anodizing)

We have made some significant capital investments in machinery and production and are in the process of ramping up capacity. We will begin shipping sometime this month, and anticipate being able to meet almost any demand within a few months.

From TOS: "The gain in weight is only 3 ounces"
