If I cut down a A2 front sight base on my BCM 20", will a KMR fit over it? Or must I get a lo-pro gas block to use a KMR?

I've read reports that it works fine. No firsthand experience though.

With a 20" barrel you have a rifle length gas system, you'll need a long rail to cover it completely.
If you cut a A2 front sight base down right, it Will fit under a KMR rail. You don't need a lo-pro gas block, if you do a good job, Take your time.

Thanks guys. BCM is out of stock on 15" rails. Do you know if these are particularly hard to find in stock?

I didn't notice them being out of stock frequently when I was looking at them a month or two ago. I noticed a lot of places don't carry the 15 incher.
