I sent this as an email, but not sure what the best way to contact bcm is so I thought I would post here. Please understand I am not complaining, I just want to know what my best course of action is.
I got a notification that I would be able to pick up my upper on Thursday of this week. Today (Friday) I go to the UPS location and they cant find it. They are opening an investigation and said they tried to contact you all and have not been able to reach anyone. my order number is 504681 Should I go ahead and dispute the charge on my Credit card? I was hoping to use this upper the weekend and on a trip next weekend. I am also afraid I will loose the window of opportunity to get a bcg and the comp so should I order another upper in anticipation of them not finding this one and me being reimbursed for this one? |

Don't dispute the charge immediately because UPS can't find it without even giving BCM a chance to look into it. I'd blacklist you for that. Don't order another upper and create a bigger headache. Just chill and take anything UPS says with a grain of salt.
Would UPS not let you start a trace on the package? If not, I'm sure Bravo Co will get it sorted out Monday. UPS delivered a package of mine to a town an hour away from me last week. I had them run a trace and they located the package and got it to me. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

How is UPS losing your package a valid claim to dispute the CC charge?
Open a case with UPS, you as the recipient need to do so. They will put a flag on the tracking number and try to find it. Crap happens, don't be a dick to a company because of UPS's fault. Give it some time, if at the end of everything nothing happens then BCM will file a insurance claim on it and reimburse you a new upper or refund you your money. |

I don't work in this industry but do use UPS a lot and have seen a rise in lost/damaged packages recently. BCM being the shipper (assuming they have a UPS account for how much they ship and even if they don't) should file the claim with UPS. UPS will not start an investigation before 24hrs of the scheduled delivery date and has numerous policies that keep them from covering the shipping cost. Watch the tracking number and print every update there is because it changes and the status goes away.
If they cannot find the package BCM should be reimbursed and then I would imagine cover a replacement. If you do receive the upper after a "lost and found" and it damaged let BCM know. I bet they take care of you and there should be no need to dispute your cc charges. Just takes some time dealing with UPS unfortunately. |
