I received my new BCM BCG the other day and I was just looking it over, it's still in the plastic package.  There is a very small black o ring in it's own individual compartment.  Where does that go, what do I do with it?

Thank you

It's an O ring that can be used to increase extractor tension. It goes around the extractor spring I believe. BCM includes them when you order a BCG but you shouldn't need it. It's optional and the BCM extractor is plenty strong enough as is. Good discussion here.

Yea supposedly its only "somewhat necessary" with a carbine gas system as well.  Even then you shouldn't need it.
