i have a 16 inch middy with the rra plastic handguards. there is a lot of wiggle with them. any ideas on how i can "tighten" them up thanks.

Most standard handguards will have some wiggle, thats a fact of life.  Not much you can do about it.  But, it doesn't really affect anything, as long as you are happy with standard handguards.  Only way to get a solid handguard, is to go to a locking drop in rail (like KAC) or better yet, a free float rail.

yeah not a fan of rails but the movement on the handguards is excessive in compairison to my other rifles that all have plastic guards. any words from magpul when the middy handguards are going to be released

I have worked with a Magpul MOE Middy prototype.  VERY Tight.
Hopefully we will see them soon.

10-4 Paul. can wait for them to hit the market. the wiggle i have with my other handguards is pissing me off. im very ocd with my weapons. i perfur not to have the weight of a rail. do you know any tips or tricks to rig up what i got goin on.

Not sure of any tricks to tighten.  Its kind of the nature of the product.  Some folks notice it more or less than others.
I am hoping to see the middy MOEs anytime between now and later in summer.  Hoping for now

+1 on the Cav Arms handguards. Mine have been rock solid. I was going to try to wait until the Magpul MOE mid lengths came out but I am glad I didn't.

just picked up a MI 12 inch free float rail off the ee. so now need a gas block any recs? and a flip up front sight? will be my first time installing a ff tube and tips? thanks
