| you really don't want to buy a ''complete'', put-together rifle from BCM, as they will have to add 11 percent federal excise tax. just order an upper of your choice, from BCM directly or any vendor and a BCM lower from one of several vendors, and push the 2 pins in, and then you have a '''complete'' BCM of your choice. i have bought 2 lowers from G&R tactical, and one from the EE,plus two 16'' mid-length uppers and a 20'' upper straight from BCM. i've added sopmods and D.D. omegas to each, and have nice rifles, without having had to pay excise tax. |

I will wholly disagree with the above post. I will refer to it as the 11% "awesome" tax, or the "sand in the vagina" tax. Buying BCM means buying an unquestionably high quality product from a company with phenomenal customer service. They do this and still manage to sell their products at a bunch less than they probably deserve. BCM does things right and that's why people trust their products. When the post-election craziness started, BCM didn't cut corners and put out a cheaper, crappier product just to have a few more to sell. They stayed true to their commitment of excellence. If the issue that BCM will have to incorporate this fee into their pricing will push anyone away from buying a BCM rifle, I am 100% confident that someone else will gladly step in their place to take delivery. |

Up until now, most BCM customers prefer to build their AR platform by purchasing the separate groups (upper, lower, bolt) with the specific options and features of their choosing. Currently BCM offers over 130 upper configs (maybe even 150+, I can't even keep a count), with maybe another additional dozen more configs being offered each month. With the 3 different lower groups currently available, that would maybe be almost 500 different configurations of completed rifle. The BCM complete rifle programs will be considerably smaller than that. The BCM rifle program is built for a different (and much larger) customer base, who prefer to make one purchase of a complete rifle.
Every BCM rifle is the exact same product, quality, etc of the separate configs. It is literally the same production line. The complete rifles include as standard items a BCMGUNFIGHTER Mod 4, BCM Magazine (w/Magpul Follower), cable lock, USGI Manual, and FET. So purchasing separate componants may be a slight cost savings. The FET (Federal Excise Tax) is 11% on levied on complete firearms (rifles and pistols). The cost of the FET is shared in part by the Bravo Company MFG, Inc, the dealer, and the consumer. Thanks very much for your kind words, and thanks very much for your interest in our products!
