Odd question, for continuity between my threaded 9mm pistols and a 9mm AR I'm building, I'm considering re-threading the barrel from 1/2 x 36 to 1/2 x 28 so I don't have to change out pistons between weapons. The potential dilemma is the barrel is a JP 10.5" and the rail is a SLR 7.25", I was wondering if there is enough barrel length to cut and re-thread?
I haven't received the barrel yet so I haven't been able to mock it up, and admittedly I'm not 100% on 9mm AR barrel sizing, but I do know it's not measured the same as 5.56 barrels and runs a bit shorter. Thanks! |
