Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting a Ruger American Rimfire, chopping the barrel and having a shroud welded on to make the 16" legal length. With SBR waits as they are right now, I just don't want to invest all the time in getting it done that way.

What I'm envisioning would be very similar to a Tactical Solutions SBX barrel for the 10/22 but of course they don't make one for the RAR...My understanding is that the RAR has a pressed in barrel anyway so it can't be easily removed.

It would need extended length threads to both thread on the shroud and then allow enough for a suppressor.

Is this feasible? Can you do it?

If so, I have another chop/thread job for you that I'll send at the same time. My Ruger Charger barrel is just too long @ 10"

Sorry, what you are asking for is a service we don't offer.

If you ever just want it cut no shorter than 16", we can thread it as a barreled action under the non AR threading service.
