| I have Remington Model 700 VTR .308, the one with the triangular barrel and integrated muzzle brake. I would like to suppress this rifle and was wondering if you guys could tell me if it’s possible to thread this barrel to accept a flash hider for a Q.D. set up? I haven’t been able to find any tech data for this barrel, but just by looking at I don’t think there is enough material there on the flat sides to be able to thread it. But, I thought I would ask someone who knows a lot more about it than I do before I try and replace the barrel or buy a new rifle. |

It does not look as though we can put standard 5/8x24 threads on it.
It would probably be possible to install a threaded adapter to bring it to 5/8x24, but it would end up being pretty pricey. That would run around $250 plus shipping. These are "pretty sures" so no promises until we look at it. |

Thanks How would you put a thread adapter on it, weld it? |
