Hey ADCO guys,
I plan on sending in another upper for work. Right now I have a 16" BCM upper that already has a shaved FSB with a DD MFR 12" tube installed. Here's what I am planning to do.. Getting the barrel reprofiled to lightweight and having you guys totally remove the MFR tube setup and reinstall a stock barrel nut. I will be installing a Centurion Arms rail which I can do at home. I just need the stock nut installed after the profile work. Since the barrel, forarm tube, and nut have to removed anyway for the reprofile, do I JUST pay for the reprofiling service? No need to pay for any dis-assembly/reassembly services? Thanks guys. |

Well, that still ends up being a Disassemble/reassemble, which is NOT included in the cost of the contour.
So, if we are disassembling the upper for barrel work, then reassembling, with different parts (minus HG), you will still need a Disassemble/Reassemble service. |

Just to be clear, even for a different barrel nut? Nothing else is getting reassembled after the reprofle except for the barrel, FSB, and barrel nut. No handguard will be reinstalled. I don't have a problem paying, just want to be clear on what needs to be added. I had the impression that the reprofile included taking the upper apart and putting it back together. |

Sorry, but it is not included. Ok, let's make sure i am clear: Is the barrel getting reattached to the upper receiver when finished? If it is, then that is what is included in the Dis/Re-assemble price. If it is NOT, then you will only need the $35 Assembly (this will cover taking it apart for the Contour work), and we will swap the barrel nut onto the barrel assembly at no charge. |
