Can / Do you guys assemble a Dissy Lightweight 14.5?

I'm wanting to grab one w/ a set of rifle length MOE hand guards and a perm.

Would this type of setup have a mid-length gas system ?

Would this setup actually need to use a 16" barrel ?

Thanks for your time and your top shelf service.

You need to use a 16" barrel.

Wow.... didn't plan on such a rude response to a post.

I'm thinking that if you met me in real life you'd likely speak differently.

It is in fact impossible to have a dissy setup with a rifle length hand guard and a 14.5" barrel.  The 12" hand guard would not leave enough room to mount a FSB on a 14.5" barrel.

Yeah... that's why I included the question in my post if this setup would require a 16" barrel.

As I've researched more today I found that 16" is required.

You could use a 14.5" barrel and and have a barrel mounted FSB, but you would have to use an 11" hand guard and the FSB couldnt be mounted at the rifle position, it would be an inch back...

Can't help it, some folks just have no respect.

Sorry, but you cannot, as stated above, start with a 14.5" barrel. You would have to start with a 16" barrel. The current barrels we have inbound (hopefully a few weeks) will be Mid length, but you could use CAR if you wanted too.

Sorry, it's been a LONG week working in the rain/sleet/snow, I was picturing you as a 17 year old and wasn't thinking when I responded.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the mid-length gas system would be more desireable for longer "dwell time". I have not owned a mid-length in the past so I figured I'd combine the two ideas in one upper.

Should I just watch your site to see when the barrels are in and then give you a call to discuss the build...?

What manufacturer is producing the barrels you have coming...?

For maleante..... nope just a 38 year old police officer/ firearms instructor/ regular guy trying to share what I know and learn what others do
