Do you guys know how much weight you take off of a 16" 308 M4 profile barrel if you lighten it? I've seen them at about 2 pounds 6.4 oz with the M4 profile. Also, is it thick enough so that the gas port could be moved to mid-length?

Can't tell ya exact numbers, but probably looking at + or - a good pound. I am not sure of the diameter of the "M203" cut on a 308, but as long as it is .625" or over, then the gas location can be moved. Of course, if it is under .625 (i highly doubt it is under) then it cannot be moved.
