I had some barrels threaded for an outback suppressor a few years back but the threaded portion of the barrel measures just under.600".  I just had you all do my S&W 15-22 barrel and the threaded portion of that barrel measures just over .400 (right where Gemtech says it should be).  I swear that the 15-22 barrel sounds better than my other barrels but it may just be my imagination...

My question is this - on my barrels that are threaded to .600 - can I have the threads shortened on these or would I need to have them completely re-threaded?   Thanks!

Use a washer or some other spacer.  I have a rifle that is way too long in the thread and that's what I did.
