Will be adding a link to this on the shop services page - just making sure I didnt miss anything...

When a firearm or firearm related item is sent in for work, we treat everything as we would expect our stuff to be treated. Please understand   guns, gun parts and the industrial tools used to work on them are not delicate pieces of machinery. This is why we wont do custom engraving or finishes on your Perazzi.

Nerf doesn’t make machine shop tools.    We do our best to take every precaution to make sure to have as little cosmetic effect on the part as possible.  If we slip and do nick/scratch/scrape your part – we will fix or replace of necessary at our expense.  With that in mind, when we use a steel punch to drive out your FSB pins, and again to reinstall, there will be use/handling marks that were not there to being with.  The same is true if you can see where your upper was clamped into one of our fixtures/jigs.  We will NOT damage any protective finish(Parkerizing/anodizing), but visible marks are to be expected and are accepted as part of the process.

A note on KG gun Kote finishes.  First and foremost KG is a paint. It’s a very durable, chemical resistant, thin paint, but it is paint.  Just like the paint you use on the walls of your home, the same rules apply concerning coverage and color choice.  A thin durable black coating on a smooth gray barrel is going to look beautiful.   If you apply a light (flat dark earth) over a black receiver, all the blemishes that were hidden in the black shadows will stick out like a sore thumb.  Also to note the light colors. A thin durable layer of flat dark earth, under the right light may show through some of the original black. Again, this is a paint – if multiple layers are desired for an expected appearance – expect the thick paint to chip much easier.  We treat gun parts as gun parts, and promise they will look acceptable at arms length.  If you use the 10X zoom on your digital camera to inspect the paint, - please do not send us the parts to paint.

99.9% of our over 10,000 customers in the last several years have been happy with the work they received.  There are always going to be a couple who expect a bit more, and I just want to help manage every ones expectations.
