I'm working on a 6.8 spc build and I am planning to have my Bison armory 16" barrel shortened and perm a vortex FH for a 16" oal barrel. Question is, will 9/16 x 24 thread size leave enough meat on the 6.8 barrel? I've read that it may not be enough material left after threading. I want to use the shorter Vortex vs the longer one theaded for 6.8/.30 cal. (5/8x24).

Oh, and can you do 9/16x24 threads? I see that size is not listed on your websight.

Thanks

Do you see gas/cycling issues with going shorter than 14.5 on a mid length 6.8 barrel? And, thanks for the reply by the way.

It shouldnt be a problem, just note in the comment section to open your gas port to the proper size.
