Does the barrel have to be removed from the upper prior to sending it in to have the flash hider permamently attached? I want the blind pin and weld done to attach a Sabre extended A2 hider.

No, if that is all that is required. If the barrel is NOT already threaded, then it will need threading first (and would need disassembled.

Yes. NO. They did an LMT 14.5 complete upper for me. What was the cost? Sorry, can't recall the cost. I was very happy with the work and felt the price commensurate. I had a VLTOR VC1 pinned on an LMT 14.5 upper just after the new year when they caught up with their backlog. This KISS rifle has become my favorite (Franken-AR). Good luck and best wishes.
